Marco is the solutions person behind Allspex Tiling. With more than 20 years in construction, he has developed skills across multiple trades, allowing him to assess problems without calling in other trades and costing more. This breadth of experience means he can fix just about anything he puts his hands to, particularly when it comes to complex wet-area failures.

Trained by his father and grandfather, Marco combines old-school tiling techniques with modern tools, materials, and repair technologies. What sets him apart, however, is not just his workmanship but the way he thinks. Marco is highly solution-focused, known for finding practical, creative ways out of situations where others get stuck, walk away and don’t even accept the job in the first place.

On site, Marco is calm and measured, giving clients confidence that their property is being handled properly. This steady approach is especially important on remedial jobs, where problems are often more extensive than first expected.

Marco’s work ethic and refusal to cut corners underpin everything Allspex Tiling does. It is the reason we are comfortable standing behind our work with warranties of up to 15 years.

Claudio’s journey in tiling began in Italy, learning from his father-in-law in a culture where tiling is treated as a craft, not just a trade. Technique, precision, and pride in presentation were non-negotiable.

His father-in-law had previously spent time working in Australia and saw a clear gap in the quality, artistry, and durability of tiling being delivered at the time. Believing standards could be raised, he returned to Australia to work, and years later Claudio followed with his family.

Much of Claudio’s early career in Australia was spent in pool construction, where tolerances are unforgiving and workmanship is exposed to constant water pressure, movement, and chemicals. This is where he became a true specialist, developing the deep technical understanding required to build tiled surfaces that last.

Today, Claudio is the senior advisor to Allspex Tiling. He has been instrumental in teaching Marco the old-school techniques that are often skipped in modern trade shortcuts. These foundations are a big part of why our work holds up long-term, and why we are confident offering extended warranties on wet-area repairs.

Alicia is the real boss – she is the marketing maestro and admin whiz at Allspex Tiling.

As Marco’s long-time friend, she saw the standard of his work and the frustration that came from watching corners being cut in larger companies. She encouraged him to step out on his own and build a business that did things properly.

She manages enquiries, scheduling, quoting, and client communication, keeping the team organised and the work flowing. By ensuring jobs are planned properly and expectations are clear from the outset, she removes unnecessary pressure from both clients and the team on site.

Alicia is usually the first person clients speak to. She is approachable and positive, but highly efficient, a balance that is especially important in repair work where situations can be stressful or time-sensitive. Having dedicated administration support is rare in tiling, and her role allows the trades to focus on the work, knowing the details are being handled properly.
