There has been an important changing of the guard at Allspex Tiling.

After more than 30 years in the tiling industry, Claudio is stepping into a well-earned retirement, with Marco formally taking over as principal contractor and nominated supervisor for Allspex Tiling Pty Ltd.

For our customers, the change may not feel dramatic because Marco has already been heavily involved in the business for years. He has been the director of Allspex Tiling, the main tiler managing projects, assessing complicated leaks, supervising the team and standing behind the quality of our work.

Now, the handover is fully official.

Tiling has been part of Marco’s family for three generations.

Claudio learnt the trade in Italy from his father-in-law before bringing those skills and standards with him to Australia. He later became one of the top pool tilers in Sydney, building a reputation for detailed preparation, quality finishes and doing things properly.

Marco then learnt from Claudio.

Like many traditional tradespeople, Marco did not learn tiling from a manual alone. He learnt by working beside his father, watching how each surface was prepared, how problems were diagnosed and how the smallest details could affect the finished result.

Those years gave Marco a strong foundation in traditional Italian craftsmanship, but they also taught him the values behind the work.
